Has anyone read the novel "City of Bones" by Martha Wells? 'Cause I'm doing a book report on it, and this is my cover page.

I know, I tried way harder on the main character's face than the background, which was the original book cover. I think it'd be a lot better if his face was also on the real cover. XD The face was inspired by a doll photo I found somewhere...

I probably could have done better, but... it's due tomorrow

ah, it's complicated. it's a fantasy about relic hunters and class sytems and harsh deserts and non-human species and whatnot. X3 'tis one of my favourite books, but i can't really summarize it~ XP

OMG you're doing such an awesome cover for your boo report! O O I bet the teacher will be blown away by the art already.. and the report itself of course! WAAH so awesome! I always made those really bad looking covers! XD Bahahaha! The guy is drawn really nice, adore how the eye is drawn and the soft shading is just.. the best! ^^ I like the tower behind him as well, drawn great with lots detail attention. THUMBS UP FOR YOU! *O*
